What a week! I finally have my baby home!

Wow I lost almost a whole week in the hospital...but loved the vacation!(if you can call it that) So I went in on Tuesday to have my C-section and I was scheduled to be second which was fine until some other lady decided to be in labor and the doctors had to deliver her before I could go back. After the I.V. and anticipation let's just say I lost it. I wanted to be done so bad. Then I finally went back and let me just tell you HOLY CRAP there is no way I would have been able to have a vaginal delivery with Smalls. They had to use forceps on a C-section WOW! He had a few bruises on his poor little face and one that is still pretty bad, but he still so adorable. I thought my baby boy was going to be stubborn because he didn't want to come out but he is just really smart already. Well after he finally came out, he ate and let his brothers and sister and a few others hold him and then he decided he didn't need to breathe anymore...so they took him away. Then he stabilized himself after like 6 hours and they tried to get him to eat again and he was hooked to the cpap machine and then his oxygen dropped again and the nurse said sorry we have to go get him hooked up and have the pediatrician look at him. They said he has a possible heart murmur. So they did a bunch of other tests and x-rays and they said he swallowed a lot of fluid but we are a little concerned about his heart. It is enlarged a little. So they had him in the "nicu" for Orem Community Hospital, not really a big deal except we have to go and see him and nobody else can. So he was hooked up to the machines and an I.V. and I couldn't feed him. It was really sad especially since I couldn't get up the whole first day because of the c-section. Well then right when they say he is fine, he decides to stop breathing again. Now remember my little boy is really smart. So on the second day I stayed in the nursery all day feeding him and holding him and they said if he eats well for 3 feedings they will slowly wean him off the I.V. On Thursday morning they finally got him off everything and let him be in my room. So they schedule a heart echo and do a few more tests. Well the cardiologist saw him on Thursday and said he looks good and doesn't have a murmur and it looked like his heart was bigger because of the thymacin gland but she ordered a few more tests. SO they did the tests and he needs to have and EKG on Friday because the last tests showed that he has right hyper ventricle something or other, which means his heart looks a little enlarged on the right side.
Going back to the 20 week ultrasound where this all began they told us he didn't have all 4 chambers of his heart so we have been a little prepared but haven't really said much and have not wanted to worry and we still have until next week to really worry but this is why I say my little boy is sooooooo smart he knows what to do to get us to do the right things for him. Just like my c-section he knew that he was not coming down he was coming out;) He really is a great baby and is here in our family for a reason. We love him so much and can't get enough of him. Keep our Smalls in your prayers even though they think he will be fine anything can happen. Hopefully Jett just has a lot of love to go around with such a big heart.
I am so grateful for his blessing in my life and I love what a baby does for a family, even though it is hard Jesse and I have so much more love for each other every time a sweet little spirit comes into our lives.
