How Quickly Things Can Change!

So I went to the perinatologist and the BIG BOY was only 8lbs 6 oz give or take a pound and the way I look and feel I would say give a pound more. But needless to say c-section off unless I get totally impatient by next Monday. The reasoning now... I have had a 9lb 5oz baby and have a great pelvis (a compliment from a OB you know). Anyway so my cervix is not ready like it usually is so like I said if it is not ready by Monday, I can opt for a c-section (because I have had one with Aspen) but the doc's say it is not necessary and he will talk me out of it before he does...but I'll decide if I want a baby on my anniversary...which is Tuesday sounds like a good day to me!

P.S. Any suggestions on how to get a cervix ready naturally...because I have had a c-section they can't do any harsh measures because it can be too much on my scar. Pray for cervix dilation:)

Oh Brooke! That is great news that he doesn't look so big but also hard to not have answers or know what is going to happen. I am sorry!

As for ways to soften that cervix, according to the numerous sources online eat lots of pineapple, go for a bumpy car ride, lots of walking, sex (I guess Jessie would have to be home for that one.) evening primrose oil. I just read somewhere the eggplant was supposed to start labor but they say it is the herbs used in the dish, basil and oregano. Most of those don't sound to drastic like castor oil.

I'll end my comment and just walk over sometime and say hi.

P.S. Addie wants to come see you at the hospital so depending on how things go and if you are there long enough to get bored she and I will come visit you if you want.

I still say horray for no c-section! Now we will pray for an early delivery. I have also heard that pineapple helps, and my dad swears A&W rootbeer is what put my mom in labor. Ship Jesse home so he can make up for all the lost sex these last months, that one is a sure way to get things going! ;-)

well I say have a couple quiky's but good old jesse is not around so try stimulating your nipples!!! and eat pineapple's while you go walking or in my terms go walk the football bleachers... I dontknow I just think when your body is ready. But I was going to tell you be glad they wont give you that stuff they gave me for the love and all that is holy it was the WORST labor I have ever had... AMEN!

Well, that's just mean to suggest sex when you have no means to accomplish it! I got Rory out by walking...I mean waddling, as fast as I could around the mall and then coming home and hopping on my gazelle for an hour.

Crossing my fingers for a small(er) baby and quick dialation!

I'm sorry. No advice never had to really go through this crap like this. I can not get over how big your babys have been. My biggest was 7lbs 5oz. But I will say not having the c-section is a good thing right? Good Luck!!!!
