Aspen's Dance Recital

Aspen's Dance Recital was this weekend. She did such a great job! The theme was how "Unique" every girl is. Her classes' dance was the Princess dance. Oh how so fitting to my sweet little princess Aspen Bailee. The girls danced to "A dream is a wish" the remix. It was my favorite little girls dance and of course they had the cutest costumes. She had 5 performances in 2 days. It was great! She was so tired by the end. Most of her fans came to the 8pm show on Friday night and when I got her from back stage she said "That was awesome, I did sooooooooooo good, Mom!" Oh how cute is she?

Mother's Day!

This poem I received from Dalton, it is so true. Here's to all you great mom's!

My mother's job is sometime's hard, and I heard her say, "The hours are long, and if I could, I'd like to change the pay." Her profession has variety, and I will tell you now about the many hats she wears--and why and when and how.

My mommy's a nurse who fixes patches, all of my hurts and my sores and my scratches.

My mother's a chef who fixes each dinner, fit for a king---a blue ribbon winner!

My mom's a chauffeur who drives pretty slow, but gets me where I need to go.

My mom's a detective, and no one is greater, at getting the truth from me sooner or later.

My mommy's a gardener and works really hard, planting and weeding and grooming our yard.

My mother's a maid--at least that's what she said-'cause she cleans up the house and makes every bed.

My mother's an angel--a queen in disguise--who teaches the gospel with tears in her eyes.

Today take these hats off, and please wear no other. Let me do your work, to show

This past weekend we went on a 4 wheeling joy ride in between Manti and Sterling. The kids had so much fun with their cousins. We went in the "red hills" and went by Gunnison Res. The kids threw rocks in the water and saw a few fish jumping and swimming at the very top of the water. Dalton enjoyed finally getting to ride his 4 wheeler. He is so obedient while driving it. I wish he was like that all the time, but I guess he just a normal kid. What a great outdoor adventure. I love 4 wheeling, but hate the dirt in my hair. It was a blast though!

So when we bought our house three years ago we loved that it had a boys room already done. But after awhile I got sick of a wall that I couldn't hang anything on. So ta da! I love to change things and come to find out Dalton didn't really like the baseball diamond anyway, his favorite sport is basketball. Dalton likes sports and Cohen likes anything that goes vroom vroom. So I had this lady paint the basketball, baseball and football. Then I got some canvas and whipped up this train, plane and automobile(truck). The choo choo is really funky looking but that's okay with me, because I free handed it. Jesse never knew I could draw, hello I have known him for over 12 years. I still need to do some finish touches but here is the almost final look!

Jesse was tearing out our neighbor's driveway on Saturday, so they could have a wider one and so it wasn't all crumbled. Jesse went to town and of course Bid D aka Dalton had to have a try. I can't believe how well a 6 year old can run a machine so big, his daddy has taught him well. He followed Jesse's instructions so well and got the last big portion of the driveway up. He lifted that whole piece up by himself. He is a lucky boy, every little boys dream is to be in a machine that can dig. Aspen and Cohen of course got to help too.

An afternoon at the Park

We went to the fish park for cousin Kennedy's first birthday. The kids had fun playing on the slides and making a train with auntie Lauren. A great spring day to have fun in the park and let some energy out.

100 things about ME!

1. I love the smell of my newborn babies.

2. I could have 10 kids if my husband would allow it and they didn't cost so much moola!

3. I love to have people over at my house.

4. I love to shop way too much.

5. I always am finding something new to do or change.

6. I love to decorate.

7. I used to have to have my house clean all the time and then I had my third child way to close to my second child and relaxed a ton. Don't get me wrong I love a spotless home, but have realized that it is almost impossible to have all the time.

8. I love Disneyland way to much.

9. My little boy likes to dress up almost more than his older sister. My husband told me to buy boy dress up's for him.

10. My parents were divorced when I was 10 or so. I couldn't imagine them together to this day, even though I wish they would just get along.

11. I love my dad so much and was the biggest daddy's girl. I wish we had a better relationship now.

12. I wish my family "all" my family could get along.

13. My four sisters are my strength. I love them so much and don't know what I would do without them. Aspen definetley needs at least one sister.

14. I love my kids and want at least 3 more.

15. I love where I live. My neighborhood and ward our the best.

17. I wonder what it would be like to have a blue or green eyed child, anything other than brown. Not that I don't love my kids' beautiful dark brown eyes.

29. I love my mom and know she tries hard to be the best she can be. I feel like I am a lot like her, even though I wouldn't have admitted that even five years ago. I am like my mom.

31. I like to keep busy doing anything.

32. I used to love sleep, but don't care if I get a lot anymore.

33. My favorite stores are Rod Works, Four Chairs, The Wood Connection, Roberts, Target, Gap, Old Navy, Pottery Barn Kids, Downeast Outfitters, and too many more.

34. I love vinyl lettering, the moment I first saw it I had to have a machine, after 3 years of having it it has paid for itself. Thanks husband for letting me have one.

35. I wish I were a better reader of books, even though I can read blogs all day.

36. I tivo a lot of shows and never watch them.

37. I love to take pictures of my kids. When they cooperate they turn out sooo cute!

38. I love turbo jam or any exercise that burns my muscles.

39. I love to talk on the phone.

40. I love music, it makes me feel so uplifted.


41. I watch the news too many times in one day, that gets depressing.

52. I don't get involved in politics and I really don't care because they are all corrupt anyway.

53. I love the way my kids smell when they just have bathed.

54. I hate the way my kids smell after they have played outside, especially with the dogs.

55. I hate it when people chomp their food or gum, it makes me so sick.

56. My first baby was induced because of a rash called PUPPS.

57. My second baby was a c-section because she was breech.

58. My third baby came on his own! Takes three times for me to get anything right.

59. I have perfectly great pregnancies, until birth I guess, but I still love the outcome and would do it again and again. All of my babies were over 9 lbs., I wonder what would happen if I did have twins.

60. I buy my kids too many clothes.

61. I am a young women leader and I joke that I never graduated from young women's and recently I was just moved up to a Miamaid leader.

62. I love being in young women's, but I still get nervous to teach.

76. I am addicted to junk food and eat more of it than my kids do. I hide it from them and my husband because it would be gone in one day.

81. I wish I had gone to medical assisting instead.

86. I have to wash my hair everyday or it gets so greasy and I feel like it is sticking to my head.

87. It only takes me 30 minutes to get ready for the day, but exercise takes at least 45 minutes, so I guess it is longer than that. Plus if there are any kid interuptions it takes a lot longer.

88. My hair has been short most of my life.

89. I like long hair, but not on me.

90. I love holidays, and love love love birthdays and overdo it all the time.

91. I am grateful to be a stay at home mom.

93. I love to go on family walks, but always stop and talk to fun neighbors therefore not much walking.

95. I have never been away from my kids except for one night last summer when I went to girls camp.
